Moses and Ginger Spurgeon

Moses – I am 12 years old, and Mom and Dad rescued me when someone found me and my siblings in a bag by the side of the road. Mom says I’m the best dog she never wanted! I’m probably a mix between a basset hound and a black lab, but I’m not certain since I’m adopted.

Ginger – I am a 2 year old miniature F1 goldendoodle. That means I’m a first generation doodle – my mom was a golden retriever, and my dad was a tiny poodle! I was Chloe’s Christmas present 2 years ago when Mom and Dad said she could get another pet when she stopped crying about her hamster that passed on 6 months before. I was the best present ever! I have had 3 little pups, and plan to have more around Thanksgiving who will be looking for fur-ever homes!

We like to bark at any newcomer who comes up to the camp 1 house to let them know we are sooooo fierce! Once you’re inside, though, we will lick you and require many pets, snuggles, and words of affirmation. We love to chase small critters, birds, lizards, you name it! We need lots of naps inside on the couch, but we LOVE running around in the big backyard at camp 1 when Mom and Dad let us out of the fence to play. It’s fun to chase each other around the cabins and then see what kind of fun new smells we can sniff out!

In the summer, we got so many pets and loves from the campers! We adored sitting outside and getting to know the kids. Our favorite night of the camp week was Wednesdays when they had a bonfire at our house, and we got to eat any hot dog that fell on the ground!

One time before camp started, we got to go down to the cove to play, and it was the best day of our lives! We weren’t too sure about staying in a kayak, but swimming and running around on the shore was the most fun we’d had in a long time.

Our favorite food is all of it. We love apples and anyone eating an apple will be stared down until they share it.

We love living at Lighthouse!
