Lucy

I had a very hard start. . . I was abandoned alone in an empty house, but this man found me and took me home. I lived with him and his family for a short time, but they had another cat and we did not get along. One day he put me in a small box with holes in it (I did not like this) and took me on a trip to meet a new lady. Her name was Jane and she had a nice cozy little house with NO other cats. I like living with Miss Jane at Lighthouse in The Sing for Joy Home!

Where are you originally from?
Near Knoxville, TN

What is your current involvement at Lighthouse?
I am friends with the dogs that live here and most of the people. If I don’t get along with or like the people or dogs I will just run away, I don’t fight. I keep the ladies that live here in shape by asking to go outside, then inside, then outside. I’m kind of like an ambassador and fitness coach.

What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I love playing with curly ribbons and catnip toys

Who inspires you to be better?
Miss Jane tries to inspire me to trust people. I won’t sit on anyone’s lap but I will sit next to you and let me pet you.

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
I love traveling to the woods near my house but my favorite place is the basement under my house. I love to sneak in there when someone opens the door and explore.

What do you like most about Lighthouse?
I love that they love me and take care of me. They let me outside to explore but I have a soft cozy bed to sleep on when I’m tired. I have lots of dogs friends here. I also love rolling outside on all the concrete the guys put in front of my house.

How have you been blessed by Lighthouse?
Miss Jane has blessed me  alot as well as the other people that live here

What is the best advice you have ever received?
Be nice to the other animals and people.

What three words or phrases come to mind when you think of Lighthouse?
Fun place to explore, people to let me in and out; good food to eat always
