I was born and raised on a farm. The following quote holds true with me. “You can take the girl our of the country but you can’t take the country out of the girl.” At 18 I became a follower of Jesus through my future husband and his family. I married my best friend and soul mate at 21. Mother of two and worked part time as a RN. It is my prayer to finish well until He calls me home. “I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God through Christ Jesus is calling us. Philippians 3:14 NLT

When and how did you first get involved with Lighthouse Christian Camp?
We are members of SOWERS that send Christian Volunteers to various Christian ministries across the country. April 2023 is our first time to serve at Lighthouse Christian Camp. The camps outreach to underprivileged children captured our interest and now our hearts.

What is something interesting that most people don’t know about you?
I have a twin sister, but we aren’t identical

Who inspires you to be better?
First and foremost it is Jesus

If you could travel anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Israel. Visiting the Holy Land will help me better visualize and reimagine the events that I read in the Bible.

What do you like most about Lighthouse?
Ministry to underprivileged children spreading the gospel followed up by discipleship is what I like best

How have you been blessed by Lighthouse?
Teamwork, Love of Jesus

What is the best advice you have ever received?
Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you . . . we are in charge of our attitudes. – Chuck Swindoll
